Western Reserve Trail Running
Western Reserve Trail Running, Inc. is a nonprofit organization registered in the state of Ohio.  The organization's first event was the 2007 Burning River 100 Mile Run held on August 7, 2007. Our mission is to promote trailrunning in the Northeast Ohio region through the development and management of new events (races, fun runs and training runs) within local park systems and municipalities.  Questions? Next Up

Congrats to all of the finishers of the Fools 50K and 25K on April 5 and the  inaugural Forget the PR, Mohican 50K on April 19.

The next race in the Western Reserve Trail Series is the Muddy Paws.  Come out and run 10 miles or 5 mileson your own or run 2 miles with your dog!  The proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society of Greater Akron.

After that are the sold-out Buckeye Trail 50K and the Burning River 100 Mile Endurance Run.

If you're not running, volunteers are always needed and welcomed at all WRTR events!

 

 


 
WRTR Series

The purpose of the Western Reserve Trail Running (WRTR) race series is to promote a regional competition, wide participation in the sport of trail running, foster volunteerism, and to recognize the annual WRTR series champions.

#1: Winter Buckeye Trail 50K, Marathon and Half Marathon Fun Runs, Sunday, January 18th
#2: Green Jewel 50K Fun Run, Saturday, March 21st
#3: Fools 50K and 25K, Sunday, April 5th
#4: Forget the PR, Mohican 50K, Sunday, April 19th
#5: Muddy Paws 5 mile and 10 mile, Saturday, July 11th
#6: Buckeye Trail 50K, Saturday, July 18th
#7: Burning River 100 Mile Endurance Run, Saturday, August 1st
#8: YUT-C 50K and 25K, Saturday, September 19th
#9: Towpath Marathon and Half Marathon (10k and 5k excluded), Saturday, October 11th
#10: Running with Scissors Double Marathon and Marathon, Sunday, October 25th
